Recruitment goal
You don’t need to have been a Scout. Just give it a go.
Volunteering is flexible, sociable and genuinely rewarding — as little as an hour a month. We’ll train you, support you and cover your expenses. No uniform required.

Parents’ questions, answered
How much does it cost, and is there help if money’s tight?
[Placeholder answer] Subs vary by group and cover activities, insurance and equipment — ask your local group for exact costs. We never want cost to be a barrier, so speak to us in confidence if money is tight.
Do I have to volunteer to get my child a place?
[Placeholder answer] No — there’s no obligation to volunteer. That said, our groups only run because parents and carers pitch in, so we’re always glad of the help.
Is there a waiting list near me?

Is Scouts religious? Is it inclusive?
