About Luton & Flitwick District
We’re a volunteer-led community bringing adventure, friendship and skills for life to young people across our district.
Who we are
Part of something bigger
Luton & Flitwick District is one of the districts that make up Bedfordshire Scouts, itself part of The Scout Association — the UK’s largest mixed youth organisation. Locally, our district brings together Scout groups from across Luton, Flitwick and the surrounding villages.
Every week, our volunteers run programmes for young people aged 4 to 25, all built around adventure, teamwork and trying new things.
Our values
What we stand for
Inclusive for all
Every young person is welcome, regardless of background, ability or belief.
Skills for life
From cooking to first aid, we build practical skills and lasting confidence.
Community & volunteers

Our story
One district since 2026, built from Icknield & Falkes
Luton & Flitwick District was formed in 2026, bringing together the former Icknield and Falkes Districts under one name — continuing the Scouting those groups and volunteers had already been building across the area.
