Joining is simple — search your postcode below to see your nearest groups and which sections they run, closest first.
- Results are sorted by distance, closest first.
- Some groups may have a short waiting list — we’ll keep you updated.
- Try a couple of taster sessions before committing — most groups welcome this.
All our adult volunteers are DBS-checked and trained — see our Safeguarding statement for how we keep young people safe.

🧭 Already an Explorer? Become a Young Leader
Ages 14–18 can help run activities for Beavers, Cubs or Scouts and work towards the Young Leader Belt Award — no experience needed.

For adult volunteers
Give an hour, change a lifetime
Our groups run entirely thanks to volunteers — leaders, helpers, trustees and behind-the-scenes support. No experience needed; we provide full training, and roles can flex around your own commitments.
- Roles from weekly section leader to occasional event helper.
- Free training, and all necessary background checks (DBS) provided.
- Flexible time commitment — from an hour a term to weekly sessions.
